Flotilla 5NR-16-10

Metedeconk River, New Jersey

Flotilla 5NR-16-10 is comprised of volunteers dedicated to safe recreational boating. These individuals undergo special training so they are able to assist and augment the United States Coast Guard.  Members of the Coast Guard Auxiliary participate in non-military, non-law enforcement programs of boating education, vessel examination, search and rescue, safety patrols, and aids to navigation.

Anyone who is interested in becoming a member we welcome you to attend one of our meetings.

Is your boat safe?
The Coast Guard Auxiliary offers free boat and personal watercraft (PWC) safety examinations to anyone who wants one.  The Auxiliary has no legal authority and only checks to make sure your boat or PWC complies with federal, state and local laws and that it is properly equipped in the case of an emergency.  Upon passing the safety check, we award your boat with the decal shown at left.  For more information about the safety checks, see the US Coast Guard Auxiliary's National Home Page Public Section
